Bedding 

• Plant up containers and hanging baskets with summer bedding.
• Harden off tender plants ready for planting towards the end of the month.
• Prick out and pot on seedlings using John Innes No 1.
• Continue to sow bedding plants and edibles to be used for later in the year or buy seedlings in store.

Fruit & Veg

• Remember to mulch under early strawberries and use netting to protect from birds.
• Greenhouse veg such as tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers can be planted into growbags or pots for the season.
• Pinch out side shoots of upright tomatoes and train with plant support such as canes.

Lawns

• Keep on top of your growing lawn by mowing once every fortnight.
• Feed lawns if not done in April

General

• Allow ventilation in the greenhouses and apply shading.
• Continue to deadhead spring plants that have flowered
• Be wary of late frosts with tender plants.
